That only states when you've joined the alliance. Alliances didn't exist before Factions and you could have switched alliances so that's not very accurate!

10/20/2003? NICE! But my question did they let you carry over your guild into beta then the actual release date? If so hmmmm 6 year mini's?

Or did they delete ZoS then you guys had to re-create it during beta?

KSL was founded sometime in june 2005 so i guess it's quite old ^^ and still active

. The oldest join date on the current roster is January 9, 2005. We are semi-active as a guild and alliance which means that you can find people logged in at any time, and when there's something interesting happening it's a crowd out there. However, most players are waiting for GW2 and playing other games meanwhile (we still stay in touch through guild websites).

Yea I remember some of those names now, Yarr and FTW for sure. Was a couple others but I don't usually look for tags these days. And I am not PvPing like I used to either. So you miss out on a lot of peopel right there.

Sacred Knights Of Orr (SKoO) was born when GW first came out, 4 of the people played Beta as well. Though the oldest person joined 6/1/05. So SKoO is pritty old. The guild is somewhat active, people have come and gone. Where basicly small as well.

the actual counting of the dates started in 2005 (beta testing) but the guild remained in the databases even afther the alpha. so the guild was still up at the beta. so there is no other guild older then zos :P

ZoS doesn't count as the oldest guild because it was made by devs.

One of the guilds I was in was made in 2005, which is sort of old I guess...

Amazon basin formed in Diablo2 2000 (hence the name)
420th Infantry division(CDXX) formed 2003

Probably lots more old guilds out there that formed in games prior to GW

My guild, Kinghts and Heros [Beer] was formed 1 May 05 and still has the same guild leader and he still plays.

we (zos) dont need anyone's confrimation that we are the oldest guild, as we are the oldest guild, still, it stays a guild, even if it was made by developers, so it is the oldest guild.

Heya Padre! good to see you again. I see you've found your new guild to be to your liking ^^

My guild was created at june 5th 2005, and is still very active. I'm pretty happy about that ^^
We're a Dutch/Belgian guild, in a NL/BE alliance. PvE oriented, around 70 members.
If I'd known about GW earlier, I would have tried to get into the beta as well, but this is my first MMO (and only so far), and back then I was more into FPS and RTS.
I'm gonna try to get into the GW2 beta if I can. Definately gonna play it the day it officially launches.
